5 breakfast ideas For quarantine: My Favourite Easy Meals!
I would like to think that I am a chef. Cooking independently and becoming more independent was one of the things I achieved in October. So, I hope that these amazingly simple and customizable meals bring you as much joy as they bring me! Be sure to follow me on Instagram and check out my Instagram stories daily to find out what new recipes I’m cooking up daily.
Meal One: Oats with fruit
If you are not eating oatmeal for breakfast, then you're missing out on a delicious opportunity to add fibre and nutrients to your body first thing in the morning. I kid you not a bowl of oats will fill up my up till lunch time.
Meal Two: A Greek yogurt with fruit
A Greek yogurt bowl with granola and fruit can double for an easy breakfast and a larger snack option. I prefer the Vanilla Greek yogurt but today I used mango flavoured yoghurt which has a nice kick to it . My favourite fruits to pair with the sweet and creamy yogurt are strawberries, blackberries, raspberries, apples, and blueberries.
Meal Three: Crepes
Anybody else been obsessed with the cheesy show Emily in Paris made me remember how much I love France and their food. If you have read my what I eat in a day blog, you would know I really love pancakes. To be honest I never wake up early enough to cook pancakes for breakfast, but they make a great meal for brunch.
Meal Four : Avocado on toast
Avocado on toast is a simple and basic way to start the day and sometimes simplicity is the key. and if I am feeling fancy ill throw an egg or two on the side.
Meal Five : Smoothie
For a natural energy drink or a filling breakfast, try whizzing up a smoothie. A smoothie is basically a Greek yoghurt bowl but in liquid form.
